The End User Portals are designed with two audiences in mind:
- First, is the telecom professional end user who typically requests data and voice lines for a new location. For this audience Rivermine designed the self-service portal.
- Second, is the casual end user who typically requests wireless devices, accessories, calling cards, or other personal telecommunications services. For this audience the end user portal is called the Wireless Store.

The Rivermine portals allow individual users to request products and services through the corporate Intranet, route them for approval, and initiate the process for ordering and fulfillment using Rivermine. Users can then check the status of their request or order and track it through to completion.
The Rivermine portals give your employees and supervisors the ability to initiate and track requests for telecommunications products and services. This creates a truly automated process flow throughout the installation/provisioning cycle that enforces corporate policies and approvals--without requiring traditional email, fax, or hardcopy forms and without involving the telecom team or provisioning group resources. The content provided in these protals are catalog based. The catalog entries are centralized and fully managed to ensure its content is compliant with corporate standards and policies.
The Rivermine End User portals are used to:
- Allow employees to request and order personal services, including cell phones, pagers, calling cards, audio-conferencing, and other services
- Facilitate first level managers to review/approve/reject a team member request.
- Allow telecom end users to request a service or place orders directly with the telecommunications provisioning group
- Enable a business unit and individuals to check their telecom inventory or view their bills on the company intranet
- Monitor end users' requests as it moves through the approval process
